Where is Radio Depot located?

We currently have 3 x locations nationwide where you can collect your purchases.

Can I collect instore?

Yes.  You can collect from any one of locations, whichever is most convenient to you.  We currently have 3 x locations nationwide where you can collect your purchases.

Can you program my radios for me?

Yes.  We just need your programming information in order to do this.  If you don’t have your programming information on file, we should be able to read it from one of your existing radios.  You may need to send a radio to one of our physical locations so we can get the information from it.

 

Do you sell new or used equipment?

We have stock of new and used equipment.  Our pre-loved stock of radios and accessories varies from month to month, check out what’s available now via our ‘pre-loved stock’ tab or view the range HERE

 

How many hours will my battery last?

A typical two-way radio battery should last around 8 hours per shift with "normal" usage, with the potential to last up to a full day with lighter use, depending on the battery quality and usage patterns; most manufacturers base their battery life estimates on a 5-5-90 duty cycle (5% transmit, 5% receive, 90% standby).

 

Do I have to open an account in order to place an order?

No, you do not need to open an account to be able to place an order.  Just go to ‘checkout’ and follow the instructions.

 

What is the warranty period on products?

Batteries – 6 months

Two-way radios – 2 years depending on manufacturer warranty period

Audio Accessories – 3 months

Can I return my order if I change my mind?

You don't have an automatic right to get your money back if you just change your mind about something you've bought and there's nothing wrong with it, so please choose carefully.  However, if you’ve accidently ordered the wrong item, we will be happy to exchange it for you.  Please get in touch with us as soon as possible by phone or email to arrange an exchange.

 

The product I ordered is faulty, can I get a new one?

Yes.  We offer a 20-day return policy for all unused and unopened products. Customers may return items for a full refund within 20 days of purchase, provided they are in their original condition and packaging.  See our refunds policy HERE for more information.

 

Can I pay for my order instore?

Yes.  We currently have 3 x locations nationwide where you can collect and pay for your purchases with cash, credit card/EFTPOS.

Can I pay for my order over the phone?

Yes.  You can pay for your purchases with credit or debit card, by phoning 0800 RT DEPOT Monday – Friday between 8.30am and 5pm. 

 

What are my payment options?

We accept all major credit cards via our website, by phone or instore.  You can also pay by direct credit with internet banking.  Just select your preferred payment type when you check out.  Once payment is confirmed, your order will be sent to you, or you can collect from one of our 3 x locations nationwide.

 

How do I track my order?

Once your order is confirmed, it will be couriered to you.  Once the courier company has scanned your package, you will receive an email notification so you can track your order.

 

How do I know when my order is on its way?

You will receive an email notification that your order has been received and is being processed.  Once your order is ready to be shipped to you, and the courier company has scanned your package, you will receive an email notification so you can track your order.

 

How long will my order take to arrive?

If your order is placed before midday, it can be shipped the same day.  Most courier items will be delivered the following day unless you are at a rural address.  Courier company standards are:

Delivery is overnight by 12 noon to business premises. 2 Day between Islands. Delivery is 2nd business day by 12 noon between islands.

Allow 4 -5 business days for a parcel that is bound for a rural/non-urban address to arrive. Due to the low density of deliveries in rural /non-urban areas, deliveries are done less frequently.

 

Can you ship products internationally?

Yes, but international shipping rates will apply.  These can be quoted on a case-by-case basis.  Please get in touch with us directly through the contact form below, by email or phone to find out more.

 

My order hasn't arrived, what should I do next?

If your order has been sent by courier and has not arrived, please get in touch with us and we will open an enquiry on your behalf.  Alternatively, you can contact the courier company your package is being shipped with and ask them to open an enquiry also. 

 

I don't have a tracking number, how do I find it?

Your email address is linked to your order, please check your inbox to find it.  It may have gone to junk or spam folder. 

 

I live in a rural area, how do I return my product if it's wrong?

You will need to send product back to one of our 3 locations by courier.  If sending by courier this will need to be trackable.  Please get in touch directly by email or phone so we can easily locate your returning order.  We cannot refund any product if it is lost by the courier, so tracking is essential.  If you require help, we can send you a courier bag to return your order in.  Shipping fees may apply.

 

I live in a rural area, is there extra shipping fees?

Radio Depot charges $7.99 regardless of the size of your order or delivery address, within New Zealand.
